Manager - Test Engineering Ninja
The Ninja Test Department’s role is to identify all issues within our products before we launch them. As such, the ideal candidate will play a key role in helping us evaluate whether our products meet the high demands of our consumers from both a hardware and software perspective. The position is focused on defining tests, designing and building fixtures to perform these tests, and analyzing and reporting the results. There is a high degree of interaction with the Engineering and Product Development teams in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Mentor, lead and coach the Ninja Quality Test Team
- Assess product specifications through testing
- Maintain test plans at the component and product levels
- Develop, validate and document test protocols
- Build automated test fixtures for all Ninja product types
- Analyze and process test data for reporting to product teams and executive leadership
Requirements:
- BSEE, BSME or similar technical discipline major
- 5+ years of product test engineering experience
- Prior experience designing and building electromechanical systems
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Ability to translate consumer use cases to repeatable test procedures
- Effectively communicate to senior leadership
- Excellent oral and written communication to create reports, write business correspondence, & develop procedures
- Change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm to drive change
- Analytical, problem solving, and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities
- Have a Tinkerer/builder mindset
- Follow activities through to completion
- Willingness to learn while stepping outside of one’s comfort zone
- Experience with any of the following: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, scripting including Python
