For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.

This role will sit within the Strategy & Execution team for Global Operations. The Strategy & Execution team consists of Operations Academy, Operations Analytics, and Strategy and Program Management. Our focus is to facilitate ops strategy development and planning, drive global cross domain programs, and enable our organisation to execute with speed and scalability.

As the Engagement lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing a clear and cohesive communication and engagement strategy that aligns with both Operations and company-wide objectives. It involves crafting and coordinating internal and external messaging, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and producing high-quality content to drive engagement around key initiatives. The role also includes organizing and facilitating internal events, leadership offsites, and workshops to support collaboration, strategic alignment, and knowledge sharing across the organization.

You will need to apply strategic and big picture thinking to connect the dots and identify accelerators to engagement, working across the other key domains in Operations (supply chain, support, merchant operations and professional services).

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Strategy & Execution lead and key stakeholders to develop and implement a global engagement and communication strategy that aligns with global comms, Operations and company-wide goals.
  • Responsible for developing content that effectively communicates Operations’ strategic direction and impact across the organization, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging.
  • Partner with Comms & Brand teams and cross-functional stakeholders to align on internal and external engagement initiatives.
  • Lead the creation of compelling content formats (including but not limited to newsletters, leadership comms, digital updates) for both Ops and company-wide audiences.
  • Own the planning and execution of Ops-led events and support company-wide event participation, including content development and facilitation.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in communications or organizational development, with a strong focus on internal engagement.
  • Strong communicator with experience creating clear, compelling messaging across channels and formats.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects and stakeholders, with solid organisational and project management skills.
  • Collaborative and relationship-oriented, with a natural ability to build trust and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Strategic, creative, and proactive—able to simplify complexity and lead with a bias for action in a fast-paced environment.

Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds and cultures is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business and technical challenges are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. No matter who you are or where you’re from, we welcome you to be your true self at Adyen.

Ensuring a smooth and enjoyable candidate experience is critical for us. We aim to get back to you regarding your application within 5 business days. Our interview process tends to take about 4 weeks to complete, but may fluctuate depending on the role. Learn more about our hiring process here. What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
