Strategic Enablement Lead - Global Ops 

Adyen is at an inflection point of rapid growth and our Operations organization plays a critical role in achieving our 10x ambition. We’re looking for an experienced leader to define and drive the learning and development strategy and delivery for our global Operations teams.  In this role you will play a crucial part in supporting the professional growth of our Operations workforce and acting as a strategic enabler to our growth ambitions.

This position is particularly well-suited for professionals currently in a Strategy, Transformation, Operations, or Program Management role with a passion for learning and development who are seeking to transition into a strategic leadership role. You will have the opportunity to leverage your past experience to develop and implement educational programs across the global Operations organization at Adyen.

Your Mission

Your primary objective will be to define the strategy, evolve the team, and collaborate with Ops leadership and key HR and L&D partners to create scalable learning programs. These programs will empower the Adyen Ops teams to deliver excellence at scale, directly contributing to the company's rapid growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Define & drive the strategy: Lead a small team to develop & execute the strategy for Operations functional transformation, and learning and development programs (including robust onboarding and subsequent growth enablement programs with an Operations focus) 
  • Build strong collaboration: both with senior Ops leadership to understand business needs and ensure a focus on the right things to enable Ops for today and tomorrow, as well as strong cross functional collaboration model with HR and learning and development partners
  • Drive and deliver against the strategic priorities of operations: ensuring buy-in from stakeholders and employees through relevance in content and excellence in delivery
  • Maximise impact: evaluate end to end employee needs, utilizing data analytics to inform decision-making and optimize program impact and continuous improvement across operations
  • Enable organisational change: partner with the wider Ops Strategy & Execution team to implement new ways of working and drive successful execution and change management 
  • Build with scale in mind: implement and oversee scalable methodologies, integrating in-person and digital learning solutions to enhance accessibility and participation

Who You Are

  • To be successful in this role your key skills are: strategic thinking, senior stakeholder management, creative thinking and a strong appetite to understand our business and specifically the nuance of Operations
  • 8+ years of experience in Operations with a program management, transformation, or strategy background, preferably in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Passion for learning/talent development
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience
  • A collaborative leader, skilled at building strong relationships, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving strategic initiatives across global diverse teams
  • Strong strategic skills and the ability to connect the bigger picture to smaller projects and get people excited about your story along the way
  • Role modeling a growth mindset - biased towards execution and comfortable trying things out never done before
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing and implementing strategic initiatives in a rapidly changing environment

The role is based in our Amsterdam office
