Position Description Overview

This role is part of the Pricing and Portfolio Management team and will be responsible for supporting the KeyBank Merchant Services Billing Integrity team including customer billing and analytical projects and processes to ensure correct billing of customers. The successful candidate will have the mental agility to seamlessly move between individual analytical activities. Candidates should be comfortable navigating, partnering, and communicating internally and managing and reporting out regarding progress.

 

The analyst will assist and support Key Merchant Services: Billing and data analytic needs. The analyst will support the development of processes, tools, reporting and analytical insight to improve the accuracy of customer billing. It is expected for the analyst to have frequent contact with internal customers. Performs duties under limited supervision, applying a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures within Payments and Merchant Services analytics. The analyst will report to the Head of KeyBank Merchant Services Pricing & Billing Integrity Team. The Billing Integrity Team determines correct billing and pricing implementation for merchants, including acquiring billing and all cardbrand passthroughs where applicable.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the Billing Integrity team to conduct monthly reviews of Customer Billing setups
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to determine corrections for customers that are not being billed correctly
  • Determine financial impact of corrections
  • Interact with Servicing team to complete corrections to customer accounts
  • Extract insights and develop complex analysis and tools to automate audit processes
  • Support correct implementation of pricing and perform pricing analysis  

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or 4+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a timely manner and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management and communication skills are a must
  • SQL advanced knowledge is a must
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and financial spreadsheets
  • Working knowledge and experience of merchant services industry

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in merchant payment services with billing, interchange, and pricing a strong plus
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in PowerPivot, Tableau, Python
  • Experience in business, financial, payments, or other similar analysis preferred

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $68,000 to $75,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
