The specialist will leverage deep OT knowledge to develop security measures and lead mitigation efforts to safeguard Caterpillar's OT assets.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the definition, prioritization, and execution of OT Security Program initiatives.
- Conduct design and architecture reviews, ensuring security artifacts align with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in OT remediation and mitigation efforts for identified security gaps.
- Report security metrics to the OT security steering committee and other stakeholders.
- Stay up to date on security procedures, technology controls, industry news, and best practices, including threat modeling and penetration testing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and facility teams to integrate leading security practices in OT environments.
- Work closely with business partners to gain insights into the operational environment and specific OT security needs.
- Promote a "safety first" mindset for the OT Security Program
What You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in managing factory manufacturing systems and networks.
- Experience in Local Area Network (LAN) administration, focused on factory networks.
- Experience with various ICS and SCADA equipment, including PLCs, DCSs, BMSs, and HMIs
- Knowledge of IT (DNS, DHCP, HTTPS) and OT protocols (Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP, DNP3, BACnet, Profinet, OPC)
- Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting industrial networks.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-82, ISA 62443
- Expertise in security processes, including vulnerability assessment, risk analysis, and defense-in-depth.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical security concepts to non-security audiences.
- Project Management Experience
- Experience with OT vulnerability management
- Knowledge of the SANS 5 ICS Cybersecurity Critical Controls
Top Candidates Will Have:
- Experience in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and system integration, with a focus on ICS and SCADA systems
- Professional certifications (CISSP, GISCP, GRID, GPEN, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience managing multiple priorities and projects.
- Proven ability to develop and present security metrics and analysis to senior leadership.
- Experience with OT Passive Monitoring solutions
- Experience with Service Now platform and reporting
- Experience with OT Secure Remote access platforms
- Experience OT tabletop exercises and OT incident response leadership.
