Job Summary:
Leads the Enterprise IT Asset Management team across Caterpillar. Organization is responsible for governance of both hardware and software assets. Organization collaborates across IT Service Owners, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, Business Unit IT, Purchasing / Vendor Management organizations and Business Resources (Finance) to ensure assets are managed, core operational processes are in control, and utilization is optimized.
What You Will Do:
  • Lead and drive IT Asset Management strategy for the Caterpillar enterprise.
  • Establish processes, controls and metrics to ensure asset management practices reduce or eliminate risk across various domains - IT, Cyber, Financial, etc.
  • Collaborate with IT Service Owners to drive process efficiencies, cost reduction, and improved asset utilization.
  • Leverage data and AI to provide actions and insights to various stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Provide leadership and development to your team and other asset owners across the enterprise.
  • Engage and support other IT and Cyber transformation efforts that are dependent on asset management processes, standards or data.
  • Engage with IT Vendor Management office and IT Service Owners on sourcing and management strategies for strategic suppliers.

What You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in across a variety of IT disciplines (application development, Software as a Service management, IT infrastructure, IT operations, Cyber security).
  • Broad understanding of various IT asset lifecycles and complexities in large, multi-national, manufacturing-based organizations.
  • Prior IT Leadership experience.
  • Strong business relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience building consensus and leading actions across multiple groups.
  • Experience delivering effective communications and recommendations across a variety of business and IT stakeholders up to and including the CIO.
  • Experience on IT Legal, Regulatory, Procurement, and Software Audit processes with the ability to consult / advise to various stakeholders.

  • This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
  • This position may require 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$156,000.00 - $234,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
