Report breaking news, court, community, and human-interest stories for digital, newsletter, and social media channels. Build contacts, develop exclusive stories, film and edit videos, create engaging content, and produce accurate journalism under tight deadlines. The role also involves representing local news titles at community events and working weekend, evening, and early morning shifts.
Are you passionate about finding great stories, breaking news first and making a real impact in your community?
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious News Reporter to join our award-winning Worcestershire newsroom.
Based in the historic cathedral city of Worcester, you'll cover some of the biggest stories affecting local people while also uncovering the unique tales that make our communities special. We're looking for someone with strong news sense, excellent writing skills and a genuine enthusiasm for local journalism. Whether you're an NCTJ-qualified trainee looking for your first newsroom role or an experienced reporter ready for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
