Position Details

  • Schedule: Per Diem

As a Per Diem MRI Technologist, you will perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures to aid physicians in the diagnosis of disease. Demonstrates excellent patient and staff communication skills and proficiency in IV insertion.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lifts and positions patients, operates equipment, and administers contrast media
  • Demonstrates knowledge of MRI safety
  • Completes/reviews patient history on every patient prior to study
  • Monitors patient condition during procedure and notifies physician of abnormalities
  • Demonstrates proper filming procedure and critiques films
  • Provides staff and patient protection in accordance with safety standards
  • Demonstrates proper infection control practices
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment
  • Assists with QA/QC activities
  • Works effectively with physicians and administrative staff
  • Transports/escorts patients
  • May instruct students and perform competency evaluations
  • Attends staff meetings and in-services
  • Supports appropriate booking of studies
  • Manages daily schedule to maximize throughput
  • Addresses patient concerns prior to study when requested
  • Monitors inventory and assists with ordering supplies

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a MRI Technologist
  • ACLS may be required based on specialty
  • Current ARRT (MR) registry

Preferred Qualifications:
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • 2+ years of MRI scanning experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $29 - $52 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
