All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.
Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.

JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.
The Social Media Coordinator/Moderator executes JerseySTEM's digital engagement strategy by managing content, fostering community interaction, and ensuring a positive presence across platforms like Discord, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram.
ResponsibilitiesJerseySTEM provides ample resources to support the Graphic Designer role. They have access to Adobe Creative Suite, G-Suite (Gmail, Sheets, etc.), JIRA, and Slack for efficient collaboration and productivity. Additionally, the branding team and Head of Marketing provide guidance and support, allowing the Graphic Designer to create impactful marketing collaterals and contribute to JerseySTEM's mission in STEM education and community outreach.
QualificationsBy creating engaging content and staying updated with social media trends, the project can significantly boost the organization's reach and impact. It serves as a powerful tool to promote JerseySTEM's programs and events, fostering a strong online community and supporting the mission to bridge the gender gap in STEM education.
