Summary of Role: The Manager, Renewals leads a team of Renewal Specialists responsible for executing and closing customer renewals across the global sales organization. This role drives team performance, accuracy, and efficiency to ensure consistent revenue retention and forecasting excellence. 

As a first-line leader, the Manager, Renewals partners closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to ensure seamless renewals, develop standardized processes, and foster a customer-centric approach. The ideal candidate brings strong SaaS operational experience, people leadership capability, and the ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  •  Lead, coach, and develop a team of Renewal Specialists to achieve retention and renewal targets. 
  • Manage renewal operations for assigned customer segments, ensuring timely and accurate quoting, forecasting, and closure. 
  • Foster accountability for renewals execution, pipeline management, and performance metrics across the team. 
  • Partner with Account Executives (AEs), Customer Success Managers (CSMs), and Sales Operations to align renewal strategy and processes. 
  • Monitor renewal forecasts, retention rates, and revenue metrics, identifying trends and risks. 
  • Conduct regular deal reviews and performance check-ins to ensure data accuracy and forecast reliability. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance the customer renewal experience. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operations to resolve complex renewal or contract issues. 
  • Support strategic initiatives from the Director and SVP of Sales to scale the renewals function globally. 
  • Hire, train, and onboard new team members while fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture. 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced training preferred. 
  • 7+ years of SaaS experience, including 2+ years leading a renewals, sales operations, or customer success team. 
  • Proven success managing and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced SaaS environment. 
  • Strong understanding of renewal management, ARR forecasting, and SaaS retention metrics. 
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce CRM and CPQ; strong data literacy with ability to interpret reports and metrics. 
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence outcomes without direct authority. 
  • Strategic thinker who can balance process discipline with customer responsiveness.
