About the Job:

The Manager, Market & Competitive Insights supports execution of FMI’s market and competitive insight capabilities by delivering high‑quality analysis, maintaining core insight workflows, and developing standardized outputs that inform commercial execution and planning activities.

This role works closely with Senior Managers and cross‑functional partners to ensure market intelligence is accurate, timely, and readily usable, and collaborates with Roche Diagnostics Insights and the Roche Data Office to support consistency of data, assumptions, and analytical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support execution of Market & Competitive Insight workstreams by conducting structured analysis of market trends, competitive activity, and external developments
  • Maintain competitor profiles, market landscapes, and insight summaries for assigned therapeutic areas or segments
  • Support market sizing, share analysis, and scenario modeling under guidance from senior team members
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of dashboards and standardized insight deliverables used in planning and decision‑making forums
  • Support integration of market and competitive insights into forecasting, portfolio, and planning materials
  • Partner with Commercial, Product, and Analytics teams to ensure insights address defined business questions
  • Assist with data preparation, documentation, and governance aligned with Roche Diagnostics and FMI standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, clarity, and consistency of insight processes and deliverables
  • Participate in cross‑functional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related discipline
  • 4–6+ years of experience in analytics, market research, competitive intelligence, or a similar role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in diagnostics, healthcare, or life sciences
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to synthesize data into clear, actionable insights
  • Experience working in cross‑functional, matrixed environments
  • Understanding of HIPAA and patient data privacy

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Boston, MA is $97,360 - $121,700 per year. The salary range is commensurate with Foundation Medicine’s compensation practice and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for Foundation Medicine's benefits.
