LightFeather is seeking a ServiceNow Developer with a strong focus on supporting federal clients with modern web technologies. This position offers the opportunity to build custom, high-code solutions that enhance user experiences and system integration across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about ServiceNow, eager to grow their technical capabilities, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing setting.

Major responsibilities include helping design, configure, develop, and implement baseline and custom applications and enhancements in ServiceNow. They will also provide architectural input and help maintain stability of the overall platform by ensuring the appropriate design and development standards are always used.

  • Location: Fully Remote (EST hours)
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually, based on experience level.
  • Clearance Requirement: U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to federal contract requirements and the need to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance
Responsibilities:
  • Work independently and as a technical team member
  • Work in multiple instances and domains, supporting internal and external customers
  • Utilize an Agile/Scrum methodology to manage development work
  • Advise functional and admin teams on design, development and overall ServiceNow best practices
  • Collaborate with business, systems, and Technology partners in business analysis meetings to develop business and systems requirements.
  • Solution and develop requested enhancements to existing ServiceNow applications
  • Script Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, ACLs, Workflow Activities, etc.
  • Facilitate and support the rollout of new application and enhancements in ServiceNow
  • Analyze system performance issues and determine performance enhancements
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
  • Strong familiarity and working knowledge of ServiceNow Suite of tools (Service Catalog, Service Portal, Reports, Incident and Knowledge Base, etc.)
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate and listen well with business and technical people, regardless of title, with good self-awareness.
  • Proven developer independent of the ServiceNow platform, with an emphasis on analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated competency with IT Service Management, Asset and Configuration Management, ITIL/ITSM, PMP/PRINCE2 practices.
  • Experience working on project teams that leverage Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience with system/software engineering lifecycle principles, translating requirements into functional and technical solutions, application implementation and support, enterprise monitoring.
  • Experience working with large data sets and performing data analysis/modeling to help facilitate and inform management decisions.
Preferred:
  • ServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Developer)
