About the Team & Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Cloud Architect with deep, hands-on expertise across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a technical, hands-on role for a seasoned expert who will not only design our multi-cloud strategy but also actively participate in its implementation. The ideal candidate is a proficient coder and automation expert who will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining our scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure.

How you'll make an impact

  • Multi-Cloud Architecture: Design and implement robust, scalable, and cost-effective cloud-native solutions that span AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Hands-on Development: Act as a senior individual contributor by writing production-quality code for infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, and automation. This includes developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments.

  • AI/ML Infrastructure: Architect and deploy infrastructure solutions to support the development and scaling of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models, leveraging the native capabilities of AWS and Azure.

  • Technical Leadership & Governance: Lead the design and review process for new cloud solutions. Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance across all cloud platforms.

  • Automation and Tooling: Drive the automation of cloud operations and management. Develop and maintain tools and scripts using Python, Terraform, and Ansible to build and manage our cloud environments.

  • Security & Compliance: Integrate security best practices into all aspects of the cloud architecture. Ensure that all cloud solutions meet strict security and compliance requirements.

  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, acting as a subject matter expert for all things cloud.

Experience you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 7+ years of experience in a hands-on cloud engineering or architecture role.

  • Expert-level proficiency in coding and scripting with Python, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible.

  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Proven experience developing and deploying infrastructure for AI solutions using services like AWS SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning, and other related cloud services.

  • Strong, hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Deep understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity and access management (IAM) principles across multiple cloud providers.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional-level certifications in at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).

  • Experience in a multi-cloud FinOps or cost management role.
