Location: Dallas, TX (Open to remote within Texas, but might need to interview in person). 
Duration: 6+ months contract (option to convert to full-time)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: $65/hr - $80/hr W2 hourly or $80-$100/hr C2C.

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on SFCC Architect Lead with deep technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities to drive the design and development of our Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) solutions. This role will combine architectural vision with active, hands-on coding and team leadership. You will lead both onsite and offshore teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and performant eCommerce solutions.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of SFCC (Salesforce Commerce Cloud) solutions, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals.
  • Serve as the technical lead for a distributed team (onsite and offshore), overseeing development activities, code quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Provide hands-on development using SFRA (Salesforce Reference Architecture) and related frameworks.
  • Design and implement integrations using SCAPI and composable commerce architectures.
  • Define and enforce best practices, development standards, and architecture guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of the platform.
  • Mentor and guide development teams to enhance their technical capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in technical roles with 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) architecture and development.
  • Proven experience with Progressive Web App (PWA) Kit Architecture is a must. 
  • Proven experience leading and managing onsite and offshore technical teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SFRA (Salesforce Reference Architecture).
  • Proficiency with SCAPI and experience in composable commerce environments.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, integrations, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and deployment best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Salesforce certifications (B2C Commerce Architect, B2C Developer, etc.) are highly desirable. 
  • Experience integrating SFCC with external systems such as OMS, ERP, or marketing automation tools.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
