The Cyber Technology and Operations team is responsible for the detection and response to cyber incidents, ensuring our security technologies keep pace with the ever-changing threat landscape. The Insider Risk team focuses on the security of our people and data, managing E Discovery forensic services and supporting Unilever’s investigative functions.
Role Purpose: The Senior Analyst – E Discovery will support the delivery of forensic investigations and E Discovery services within the Insider Risk team. The role will focus on hands-on technical work, evidence collection, and supporting investigations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Senior Analyst will work closely with the E Discovery Team Lead and other stakeholders to help keep Unilever’s data and systems secure.

Main Accountabilities

  • Conduct forensic analysis of devices and systems under the guidance of the E Discovery Team Lead.

  • Collect, preserve, and document digital evidence in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the maintenance of forensic readiness and compliance with sector-specific regulations (e.g., NIST CSF, ISA/IEC 62443).

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for audits, insurance claims, and legal proceedings.

  • Operate and maintain forensic and threat detection tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview E Discovery, Axiom Magnet Cyber, EnCase)

  • Support the investigation and resolution of suspicious activities or incidents.

  • Contribute to the development and updating of team playbooks and best practices.

  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, escalating complex issues as needed.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across Cyber Security and other business functions.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with E Discovery and digital forensic investigations.

  • Familiarity with SIEMs and EDR solutions (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Carbon Black).

  • Understanding of evidence handling, chain of custody, and relevant legal processes.

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Customer-oriented approach.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or legal proceedings.

  • Familiarity with sector-specific regulations (e.g., NIST CSF, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO/IEC 27001).

  • Experience working in a global or matrixed environment.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Purview Insider Risk and Data Loss Prevention applications
