Position Summary:

The IBU Manager for Flow Controls, North & West Africa provides leadership for sales, services, and educational initiatives related to digital valve controllers and digital valve services. This role combines technical expertise with commercial leadership to drive growth, strengthen market differentiation, and expand Emerson’s Flow Controls presence across the region. The position partners closely with regional sales leadership and the MEA Instrumentation Technologies team to deliver sustainable business results while supporting customer digital transformation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead Flow Controls solutions, products, and services sales and business development initiatives across North and West Africa.
  • Develop and implement regional growth strategies, including new product launches and expansion of digital valve controller and digital valve services offerings.
  • Achieve or exceed financial objectives by driving bookings, revenue growth, and profitability aligned with regional and MEA business plans.
  • Build and execute strategies to grow the installed base and maximize long‑term value through connected services and digital solutions.
  • Partner with local business partners and sales teams to identify opportunities, pursue niche applications, and strengthen technical differentiation.
  • Develop and support regional sales capabilities through coaching, collaboration, and structured engagement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, ensuring Emerson’s capabilities are well understood and trusted.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to inform pricing, forecasting, and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate across business units to grow the digital transformation pipeline and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with Emerson ethics, trade compliance, and health and safety standards in all business activities.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • An engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
  • Experience leading sales, business development, or channel management activities within the valve or process control industry.
  • Strong understanding of control valve applications, sizing, and selection.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive profitable growth and manage complex regional territories.
  • Effective communication and relationship‑building skills across diverse cultures and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience working across multiple countries or regions within Africa or emerging markets.
  • Exposure to digital valve controllers, connected services, or industrial digitalization initiatives.
  • Application knowledge in industries such as hydrocarbons, chemicals, mining, or power.
  • Postgraduate business or management education.
