OverviewJerseySTEM offers exciting unpaid HR internship opportunities for individuals ready to commit 20 hours per week for at least one month (with the option to renew).As an intern, you will take ownership of projects directly aligned with JerseySTEM’s mission of delivering impactful after-school STEM enrichment programs to underserved students.Available HR Internship Areas- Talent Acquisition

ResponsibilitiesWorkplace Responsibilities- Collaborate with team members on department-specific initiatives
- Attend scheduled work sessions and maintain consistent communication with your assigned manager
- Submit brief daily written updates on progress and deliverables
- Actively participate in JerseySTEM’s communication platforms (Slack, G-Suite, etc.)
- Maintain professionalism in all internal and external interactions
- Escalate any challenges in communication or workflow to your manager or HR promptly
- Plan and execute targeted sourcing strategies to recruit high-quality interns
- Develop and implement creative CSR initiatives for sponsor corporate interns
- Create engaging learning materials and ensure smooth operation within LMS platforms (Google Classroom)
- Build data reports and visualizations using recruitment metrics to drive informed decision-making
- Establish and maintain relationships with university career services to expand talent pipelines
- Support onboarding processes to ensure a seamless and engaging intern experience
- Assist in tracking recruitment performance metrics and optimizing hiring workflows
Time Commitment
- 20 hours/week minimum, for at least 1 month (renewable monthly)
- Work shift is 3pm-6pm EST daily (weekdays)
- Additional occaional ad-hoc meeting can be scheduled evenings or week-ends

- Interns who join JerseySTEM as Data Analysts as new Joinees will be invited to a 4 hour/day/4 week "BootCamp".
College or Master’s degree in a relevant field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to work independently with minimal supervision
Familiarity with digital collaboration tools (Slack, G-Suite, Salesforce, Jira)
Passion for making a positive impact on students' lives
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours/week
- Preferred: Candidates located in New Jersey, as our programs primarily serve local communities.
