We seek a results-oriented, thoughtful and creative Senior Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) who will help advance and champion an inclusive culture and business strategy.

Reporting directly to the Chief People & Strategy Officer, this role will work closely with the broader People & Culture and Executive team to advance SharkNinja's global DEI efforts, programs and initiatives. This is an important leadership role and this individual will build key relationships across the executive team and throughout the organization. This person will work in an inspiring, fast paced environment requiring an ability to influence the SharkNinja community.

The Senior Director of DEI will be a forward-thinking professional, with the ability to balance multiple objectives, make informed decisions, and deliver measurable results in support of our DEI efforts. The ideal candidate will not only be passionate about delivering meaningful solutions, but also developing detailed goals with continuous improvement, and a strong advocate for the advancement of DEI throughout SharkNinja globally.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the DEI subject matter expert on internal and external best practices and lead the culture change that results.
  • Work with the Chief People and Strategy Officer to facilitate the development, implementation and evolution of DEI initiatives across the organization. This includes (but is not limited to) talent attraction, learning and development, Employee Resource Groups, others.
  • Lead Employee Resource Groups and subcommittees to ensure that we are listening to the voices of our associates and addressing DEI related issues in the business.
  • Drive partnership with DEI centered organizations to drive change in the business community.
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of all dimensions of identity: race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, generation, sexual orientation, ability, linguistic, professional, and all differences that make us unique.
  • Ensure all programs have a global reach with regional goals in mind.
  • Collaborate with business leaders on integration of DEI into product strategy.
  • Manage DEI budget, including program spending, vendor contracts and payments, and shared costs supporting company initiatives and/or programs while reporting and tracking spending by quarter.
  • Partner with Learning & Development colleagues to enhance D&I education efforts, including the development of new workshops, training, tools and resources to develop and enhance D&I leadership and management and further professional development and skills consistent with our diversity and inclusion.
  • Work across the People and Culture team to integrate DEI concepts and applications into all people facing activities (recruiting, development, learning, engagement, people technology and analytics, rewards, etc.).
  • Develop and foster positive relationships nationally and globally, focusing on improving representation and encouraging an inclusive work environment.
  • Responsible for supporting communication of DEI content for company materials (e.g. website, recruiting materials, etc.), award submissions and otherwise maintaining DEI content internally and externally.
  • Analyze and present trends in the area of DEI and stay on top of best practices and benchmark leading companies and programs. Proactively keep key partners updated and make recommendations to craft new and/or modify existing initiatives.
  • Monitor and measure internal DEI related metrics to lead our team in achieving our DEI mission.

Person Specification/Skills/Qualifications/Experience

  • 8-10+ years of leadership and management experience in Human Resources, DEI, consulting or other related functions, with a track record of success designing and delivering DEI programs, increasing diversity representation and creating corporate social responsibility initiatives aligned to company mission. Previous experience in a fast-paced/high growth and dynamic organization preferred
  • Effective communication, facilitation, persuasion, and influencing skills. Ability to interact, present and communicate with all levels of the organization. Experience being an external company representative on matters of DEI and related strategy
  • Strategic problem solver who is able to understand the cross-functional relationships vital to implement company-wide change
  • Implement educational programs and services on diversity, including creating and delivering customized training programs
  • Creative, forward-thinking, flexible, passionate - able to toggle between the big picture strategy and practical, sustainable implementation
  • Proficient in project planning, project management and stakeholder management
  • Global perspective; ability to identify and respond to regional differences and needs
  • Experience managing a budget including tracking spend, coordinating budget allocations and providing quarterly budget updates
  • Strong leader who is able to lead in ambiguity and influence without authority
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, plan workflow and take initiative
