Company Overview:

Lexington Medical, Inc. is a medical device company developing and manufacturing minimally invasive surgical stapling solutions in the Boston area. With the highest standards in design engineering and smart manufacturing, our team delivers disruptive technology to healthcare providers, improving surgical outcomes for patients in a thriving $6B+ surgical stapler market.

Rooted in a talent-dense culture, we are committed to innovation, foster continuous growth, and achieve great heights together. At Lexington Medical, Inc., you will have the opportunity to impact the lives of millions of patients worldwide while thriving in a fast-growing MedTech company.

Role Overview:

We are hiring an execution-focused Head of Supply Chain to lead and scale Lexington Medical's supply chain function across our complex, vertically integrated operation. In this role, you will lead a lean team and run sourcing, planning, inventory and logistics, pairing strong operational judgment with AI and automation where it adds real leverage.

You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations, and your work will directly support products that impact millions of patients worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution across sourcing, planning, inventory, logistics, and supplier management, staying hands-on and close to the details.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a lean, high-performing team, setting clear priorities and raising the bar on execution.
  • Make AI and automation core to how the function operates, applying modern tools to improve forecasting, inventory positioning, procurement, traceability, and reporting, and building leverage into a small team rather than adding headcount.
  • Own sourcing and supplier relationships for both ongoing production and new product introduction (NPI), partnering with Engineering and Quality to qualify suppliers and materials.
  • Drive inventory accuracy, supply continuity, and ERP/MRP data integrity across Lexington Medical, third-party partners, value-added service providers, and sterilization facilities.
  • Establish scalable processes, KPIs, and supplier agreements that improve cost, lead time, quality, and speed as the company grows.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to anticipate needs and remove bottlenecks.
  • Resolve supply chain issues and escalations directly, driving corrective actions and preventing recurrence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or another technical field. Master’s degree a plus.
  • 5-10+ years of progressive supply chain or operations experience in manufacturing companies
  • Hands-on, execution-focused leader, a player-coach who stays close to the work.
  • Strong commercial instincts: supplier management, negotiation, cost and lead-time analysis, and supply agreements.
  • Comfortable with data, systems and AI tools; experience with ERP/MRP platforms (familiarity with Odoo, Snowflake or similar is a plus).
  • Experience in medical devices or other regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., ISO 13485) is a plus.
  • Curiosity, ownership mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment (hint: mystery question answer is 23).

What Success Looks Like In This Role:

  • Within the first 3-6 months, you are hands-on with the team and the data, have your direct reports aligned on clear priorities, and have delivered early wins in sourcing, inventory accuracy, or supply continuity.
  • Within the first year, you have made AI and automation part of how the function runs, meaningfully increasing team's output and improving cost, speed, and reliability of supply.
  • You are known as a player-coach: strategic when it counts, but always close enough to the work to unblock the team and execute alongside them.

Location & Work Arrangement:

This position is based in Bedford, Massachusetts (near Boston) and is an onsite role.
