The Impact
Liquidity Modeling and Stress-Testing
- Architect and lead the enhancement of complex stress-testing engines that simulate the intricate interplay between market volatility and policyholder behavior, including dynamic lapses and surrender scenarios
- Report on key performance drivers and variance trends to inform decision-making
- Refine the governance approach for managing liquidity at the investment segment level for the General and Corporate Investment Accounts to better quantify the trade-offs between asset liquidity and portfolio performance
Contingent Liquidity Planning
- Lead the quantitative assessment of contingent funding requirements, ensuring an optimal balance between safety and capital efficiency
- Create actionable Liquidity Playbooks that address the practicalities of asset liquidation and accounting impacts
- Stress-test and refine Contingency Funding Plans across a diverse spectrum of idiosyncratic and systemic shocks to guarantee organizational readiness
• Leadership
- Orchestrate thriving partnerships across Treasury, Risk and Investment teams to ensure a unified and proactive approach to liquidity management
- Spearhead high-impact initiatives that modernize our forecasting capabilities and strengthen MassMutual's financial resilience
- Synthesize complex analytical findings into compelling executive narratives that drive decisive action at the senior leadership levels
- Cultivate a high-performing team, providing the strategic vision to prioritize mission-critical work while championing the professional growth of every member
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's in finance, actuarial science, mathematics, economics or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, treasury, investments, asset liability management or risk management for a life insurance company
- Proven track record of managing technical teams and driving cross-functional collaboration
The Ideal Qualifications
- CFA, FSA/ASA or FRM
- Experience modeling or pricing insurance liabilities and familiarity with their redemption rights and potential for sudden cash demands
- Expertise in Fixed Income analytics and the liquidity characteristics of corporate bonds, MBS, and alternative investments
- Experience working in a Finance transformational setting; driving change and managing competing priorities
