About the role

Just Appraised is looking for a Growth Marketer to build and run the programs that turn our existing customer base and top-of-funnel activity into pipeline: customer marketing, proactive email lead gen, webinars, and case studies, with room to pick up light product marketing work along the way.

This is a full-stack, hands-on role. The right person leans demand gen over pure-play product marketing, is comfortable owning a program end to end rather than a single piece of it, and doesn't need a big team to get things shipped. Design chops are a real plus, not a requirement.

What you'll do

Customer Marketing

  • Own marketing programs that drive expansion within our existing customer base, partnering closely with Customer Success on cross-sell and upsell plays. This is one of the biggest open opportunities in the function today.
  • Build a customer marketing motion (updates, community/advocacy touchpoints, lifecycle comms, customer advisory, customer reference program) that increases engagement and gives Sales and CS more to work with.

Email Marketing

  • Stand up proactive, always-on lead gen email programs. This channel doesn't exist today, so the first job is building it, not just optimizing something already running.
  • Own nurture and reactivation sequences, segmentation, cadence, and reporting (opens, clicks, MQLs generated).

Webinars, Full Stack

  • Own the entire webinar lifecycle: topic selection, slide creation, promotion, hosting, and post-event follow-up cadences.
  • Partner with Sales, CS, and internal subject matter experts to source content and speakers.
  • Report on registration, attendance, and pipeline contribution.

Case Studies

  • Source, write, and publish customer case studies that give Sales credible proof points to use in active deals.
  • Coordinate with Customer Success to identify strong stories and get them through approval.

Light Product Marketing

  • Support product marketing on an as-needed basis: sales-facing roadmap slides, launch collateral, competitive input.

Design (bonus, not required)

  • Comfortable building clean, on-brand visual assets (slides, one-pagers, social graphics) without needing to hand every asset to a designer.

Key KPIs for the Role:

  • Expansion pipeline / ARR → Pipeline and revenue sourced from customer marketing programs, in partnership with CS
  • Email-sourced MQLs/SQLs → Since this is a new channel, early KPIs should track whether it's built and producing before shifting to pure optimization
  • Webinar performance → Registration, attendance, and pipeline contribution
  • Case studies in active use → Case studies published and used by Sales in live deals
  • Product marketing turnaround → Sales enablement and roadmap collateral delivered on time for key moments

Qualifications

  • B2B marketing experience, demand-gen leaning, ideally in B2B SaaS
  • GovTech marketing experience preferred but not required
  • Hands-on experience running email marketing programs end to end, not just briefing someone else
  • Experience owning webinars start to finish, not just one piece of the process
  • Comfortable writing customer case studies and shepherding them through internal and customer approval
  • Some exposure to product marketing (positioning, launch content, sales enablement) is a plus, not required
  • Design/visual skills are a strong plus
  • Full-stack mindset: comfortable being hands-on across multiple channels rather than a narrow specialist

Tech stack — familiarity and previous usage of tools is preferred, but not required:

  • Salesforce
  • Hubspot
  • Zoom Webinar

Our culture

  • EQ > IQ: We value great minds and the ability to communicate with empathy
  • Customer Comes First: We work closely with our clients to understand their needs and how they use our products
  • Start-to-Finish Ownership: We take responsibility for anything we can influence
  • Actively Practice Inclusion: Creating a diverse and inclusive team is as important to us as building a good product
  • Fast-Paced Environment: The “growth mindset” is key to our success. If it won’t break anything, go for it!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
