About This Role:

We are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to join our cross-disciplinary team in shaping and evolving Forrester’s global brand. Reporting to the director of multimedia content production, this role will focus heavily on designing impactful graphical design deliverables for published reports, event presentations, and compelling data visualizations that transform Forrester’s cutting-edge research into clear, engaging visuals. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with analysts, researchers, and consultants, working largely behind the paywall to support research-driven deliverables with a heavy use of PowerPoint. Additionally, this individual will contribute to designing keynote event presentations for global event cycles and occasionally support marketing efforts on an ad-hoc basis. Bonus points for motion graphics experience, familiarity with generative AI (genAI) and proficiency with tools like Canva. As a member of the dynamic multimedia and graphics team, the Graphic Designer will be part of a creative and collaborative environment that emphasizes teamwork, a positive spirit, and a supportive culture.

Job Description:

  • Develop clear and compelling data visualizations to simplify and communicate complex research insights.
  • Create infographics and diagrams to support storytelling and research concepts.
  • Collaborate with analysts, researchers, and consultants to produce research-driven deliverables.
  • Contribute to the design of keynote event presentations for Forrester’s global event cycles.
  • Provide design support for marketing initiatives as needed, including the creation of campaign assets and promotional collateral.
  • Maintain consistency with Forrester’s visual brand identity across all project deliverables.

Job Requirements:

  • Education and experience: bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent professional experience, with more than two years of relevant work experience in an agency or in-house design team.
  • Collaboration skills: strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including offshore teams.
  • Presentation design expertise: advanced skills in designing polished PowerPoint presentations and creating effective data visualizations.
  • Design proficiency: strong typography, layout design, and ability to create cohesive visual systems with a modern aesthetic that follows Forrester’s brand standards.
  • Software knowledge: expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and proficiency with PowerPoint; Canva, motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects), and familiarity with genAI is a bonus.
  • Organizational skills: exceptional attention to detail, excellent time management, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Why Join Us:

  • Work on diverse projects, including data visualizations, event presentations, and research-driven deliverables.
  • Join a fun, creative multimedia and graphics team that values collaboration, innovation, and a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Collaborate with talented colleagues, analysts, consultants, and offshore teams in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
  • Play a critical role in designing impactful presentations and visual storytelling for a global audience.
  • Bonus opportunities to apply motion graphics skills and leverage tools like Canva.

This is a great opportunity for a Graphic Designer who enjoys crafting compelling presentations and data visualizations while being part of a fun, dynamic, and collaborative team environment.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
