The Opportunity
The Head of Inclusion & Engagement will spearhead our organization’s commitment to fostering a workplace where every employee feels a strong sense of belonging and engagement. This role focuses on creating and maintaining alignment between Inclusion & Engagement initiatives and business objectives while actively engaging with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), culture councils and committees, and the broader Culture Network. The ideal candidate will leverage these collaborative networks to drive impactful strategies and ensure their successful integration across HR and the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the organization’s strategy with a primary focus on fostering inclusion, engagement, belonging, and a strong workplace culture.

  • Partner with ERGs to ensure that the ERG goals align to the Iron Mountain business goals

  • Ensure that activities and event expenditures align with the annual ERG budget and meet the guidelines for expenses outlined.

  • Align Inclusion & Engagement initiatives with overall business goals and HR practices to ensure cohesion and effectiveness.
     

Collaboration with ERGs, Culture Councils & Committees, and the Culture Network:

  • Partner with ERGs to support their activities, amplify their impact, and address their needs and concerns.

  • Work closely with culture councils and committees to provide strategic direction, facilitate meetings, and ensure their recommendations are integrated into organizational practices.

  • Collaborate with the Culture Network to build a unified approach to promoting a workplace culture of engagement and inclusion.

  • Identify opportunities where ERGs, culture councils & committees, and the Culture Network can collaborate to benefit all participants.

Program Development and Implementation:

  • Design and implement programs and initiatives that advance inclusion, engagement, belonging, and workplace culture within the organization.

  • Work with the Talent Development team, internal and external resources to ensure training and development programs are in place to educate employees and leaders on best practices and foster a culture of engagement and inclusion.

  • Ensure initiatives are effectively communicated and supported across all levels of the organization.

Cross-Functional Integration:

  • Coordinate with HR and other departments to embed principles of inclusion, engagement, belonging, and culture into talent management processes, including recruitment, performance management, and career development.

  • Ensure alignment between these strategies and organizational policies, procedures, and practices.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Develop, monitor, and analyze metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on progress, challenges, and achievements to senior leadership

Community and External Engagement:

  • Represent the organization in external forums, partnerships, and community initiatives to enhance its reputation as an employer committed to fostering an engaging and inclusive workplace.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continually enhance the organization’s efforts in engagement and culture.
     

Advocacy and Support:

  • Serve as a key advocate for Inclusion & Engagement within the organization, promoting an environment where diverse perspectives are valued and included.

  • Provide guidance and support to ERGs, culture councils, and other internal networks, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to thrive.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HR, organizational culture, or a related field, with a demonstrated focus on inclusion and employee engagement.

  • Proven experience in working with ERGs, culture councils, and similar collaborative networks.

  • Strong understanding of HR practices and experience integrating initiatives with business objectives.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience in analyzing data and using insights to drive strategy and continuous improvement.

  • Passionate about creating an engaging workplace culture where all employees feel a strong sense of belonging.
