Position Overview:

The Client Group Intern will support Acadian’s Global Client Group, gaining hands-on exposure to one or more client-facing functions, including Business Development and Client Relationship Management. This internship is designed to give students hands‑on exposure to the key components of the client lifecycle within an institutional asset manager, including initial engagement with consultants and supporting ongoing relationships with clients. Interns will develop an understanding of how client teams collaborate with investment, operations, and compliance groups to deliver high‑quality client service. By the end of the internship, students will have gained practical experience working with data, communicating with internal stakeholders, and supporting real-world client processes.

Our Client Group Internship is a ten week (late May to late July), paid summer opportunity for undergraduate students who are entering their senior year of undergraduate study. Interns will be expected on-site in the Boston office a minimum of 4 days a week.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support client and business development initiatives through hands-on, project-based assignments
  • Assist with updating and maintaining client and business development information in Salesforce and other internal systems
  • Assist with creating, organizing, and updating internal documentation and content on internal websites
  • Contribute to research or content projects, including those leveraging AI tools, with guidance from the team
  • Conduct basic market and competitive research to support client and consultant engagement
  • Shadow Associates across Business Development and Client Relationship Management to gain exposure to external-facing roles
  • Provide ad-hoc support to Associates, including meeting preparation, note-taking, and follow-up activities, as appropriate
  • Learn how client teams collaborate with investment, operations, and compliance partners to deliver high-quality client service
  • Participate in Acadian’s structured intern program, including training sessions, educational programming, and networking opportunities
  • Develop foundational professional skills through hands-on work, feedback, and mentorship

We’re Looking For Teammates With:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027
  • Demonstrated interest in capital markets, investment management, institutional clients, or relationship‑driven roles
  • Comfort working with structured data; familiarity with Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables a plus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Initiative and dependability in seeing tasks through to completion
  • Experience with responsible use of AI tooling is appreciated but not expected

The pay range for this role is $30.00 - $40.00 per hour based on your degree level and class year.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants.
