Job Introduction:
We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Global Enterprise Services team within Global Finance Tech (GFT). In this role, you will be on the Jet Setters squad, helping design, build, and deliver back-end and full-stack applications. The Jet Setters squad owns a portfolio of 22 GFT products, including the Reservation System, Contracts Portal, Non-Employee Portal, Corporate Aviation Flight Approvals, and Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
As an engineer on the squad, you will partner with product owners, business partners, and fellow engineers to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions including AI-powered capabilities that enhance user experience and operational efficiency. You will develop features end to end with guidance from more experienced engineers, grow your technical depth, and help uphold the engineering standards that keep our products healthy.
About the job:

• Design and develop application features and components, contributing to technical design discussions within the squad's portfolio.
• Partner with the squad's senior engineers, principal engineer, and solutions engineer to apply shared patterns, frameworks, and reusable components.
• Participate in code and design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Apply engineering guidelines, standards, and best practices, and suggest improvements where you see opportunities.
• Build and maintain automated testing, CI/CD, and observability for the products the squad owns.
• Perform impact analysis and technical solutioning for assigned changes, escalating complex trade-offs as needed.
• Research technical alternatives for loosely defined problems and share recommendations with the team.
• Provide production support, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and defect resolution.
• Create and maintain technical specifications, design documentation, and production support artifacts.
• Contribute to the development and integration of AI-powered features and capabilities across existing and new product lines.
• Work with product owners and business partners to translate business needs into well-scoped technical work and estimates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline.
• Minimum 3 + years of Full Stack Engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented design patterns and common architectural patterns.
• Hands-on experience with several of the following: TypeScript, React, Node.js, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, SQL, Spring Boot, GitHub Actions.
• Effective user of GenAI development tools, with the ability to accelerate personal productivity.
• Experience contributing to and supporting production applications.
• Working knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and business partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to take ownership and show initiative.
• Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
• Team-oriented, with strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills.
• Eagerness to learn, seek feedback, and grow technical and domain expertise.

Nice to Have - AI & Emerging Technologies

• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and how they apply to software product development.
• Exposure to Large Language Model (LLM) APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock).
• Awareness of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns, including vector databases and embedding models.
• Exposure to AI orchestration frameworks.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques and best practices.
• Awareness of responsible AI principles, including bias, explainability, and data privacy considerations.
• Experience building or consuming APIs and microservices in a cloud-native environment (AWS preferred).
• Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar products such as Claude Code.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
