About the Team

  • As part of Bose’s Finance Navigation team, you will play a central role to delivering on this vision in the future by partnering with leaders across our Product Management, R&D, Sales & Marketing, and Supply Chain functions to influence data driven decisions that help Bose deliver sustainable growth and reach more customers with the benefits of our technology. About the Job

  • Serve as the finance lead on cross-functional category leadership teams supporting multiple consumer software platforms and product categories. 
  • Influence software platform roadmap and product category roadmap decisions to ensure we’re on a path to meeting our financial goals.
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders.
  • Develop and implement financial models and forecasts to support budgeting, target setting, and investment decisions.
  • Analyze financial performance metrics and identify areas for improvement or cost savings.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial best practices within Product Management and R&D.
  • Manage risk by monitoring key financial indicators and proactively identifying potential issues.
  • Communicate complex financial information in a clear, concise, and engaging manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with business unit leaders, finance teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and benchmark the company's performance against competitors.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Software Industry Experience. Candidate must have worked in a software company, ideally in a high-growth environment. 
  • Understanding of the nuances of software revenue recognition, deferred revenue, subscription models, and the software business model in general.
  • Experience with agile budgeting and forecasting methodologies that align with iterative software development.
  • Ability to create reports that provide insights into product profitability, customer lifetime value, and other key software metrics.
  • Experience allocating costs to software development projects, especially in an agile environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile, SAFE, Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), and/or Value Stream mapping is critical. 
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in financial analysis or business partnering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data visualization using Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA with concentration in finance or economics.
  • Ability to cultivate strong cross-functional relationships and work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
