Brown & Brown is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing team in Boston, MA!
The Finance Analyst is expected to provide understanding of the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function in support of the financial planning and budgeting processes, analysis of financial statements and reports, model and projection development and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. The role will require partnering and supporting the DFO in both national employee benefits practice, as well as large and specialty employee benefits responsibilities.
How You Will Contribute:
Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, financial reports, etc.)
Involvement in financial reporting for month and quarter end close
Prepare financial reports, charts, and tables for DFO quarterly in-person meetings
Leverage data using analytics and artificial intelligence to develop reporting that drives revenue growth with strategic carrier relationships
Drive critical and complex variance analysis to assist leadership in driving results
Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts
Support ad-hoc requests for Business Partners and Employee Benefits Leadership
Interact with senior leaders in the business to discuss your analysis
Travel to off-site meetings and conferences multiple times a year
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance required; degrees in Economics, Mathematics, or other analytical fields will also be considered if paired with a strong interest in business and finance.
2-5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting
Exposure to financial analysis and budgeting
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Suite applications, preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and working with multiple accounting systems
Master’s degree in a related field (preferred)
Experience with data management and visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc. (preferred)
Power Query/Other Macro tools experience (preferred)
Comfortable leveraging AI tools (CoPilot, Claude, etc.) (preferred)
Pay Range
$70,000 - $90,000 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
