Partner Support Engineer
Overview:Rapid7 is a leader in the security market. It’s a portfolio of solutions designed to enable teams to identify and respond to security risks and fight off attacks. Most importantly, Rapid7 is a platform. The platform is what differentiates Rapid7 from all the other security vendors out there. The platform allows customers to collect all the data, be smarter than the bad guys and drive coordinated response across teams - IT, Security and Devops. The platform only delivers on its promise if it integrates with our customers’ environments. Those integrations must be well-designed, easy to deploy and supportable by Rapid. Making sure the integrations do their job is your job. You will work with the Rapid7 alliances team and its growing partner network to make sure that when partners build integrations, they’re well designed and that they work in the field when deployed. You’ll troubleshoot integrations, and act as the key liaison between Partners and Rapid7 teams to fix problems in the field and build those learnings back into the integration. You’ll work with our Product and Alliances teams to design systems to scale certification of partner integrations. The scope of your responsibilities will grow as needed to make sure that you can succeed in your job. Job Responsibilities:
- Review proposed integrations with partners. Provide technical support
- Act as a platform integration expert in discussions with partners
- Own the certification process for partner integrations
- Act as the main technical liaison between Rapid7 product/platform teams and partners when troubleshooting integration issues in the field
- Build and maintain relationships with technical leaders in our partner organization to align roadmaps and changes that impact integrations.
- Consult the alliances organization on integration best practices, and act as the key technical expert for the team
Job Requirements:
- You don’t have to be a code-committing developer, but you do need demonstrated technical understand of APIs, integration best practices, and a conversational understanding of development technologies. Concepts like JSON, CRUD, REST are right in your wheelhouse
- If you read our API documentation, you would understand it and be able to explain it to others
- You have held a technical role in a software company before. This probably can’t be your first job, unless you’re a technical savant
- You genuinely like working cross-functionally, and can handle working with needy people without just rolling over and doing whatever they ask you to do
- You like learning about the technical environments of lots of different solutions

- You know Rapid7 products
- You have actually built integrations. Any coding experience is definitely a plus
