Application Integration Engineer

DUTIES: Responsible for designing, coding and modifying our website, from layout to function and according to evolving business needs. Create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation. Work effectively with business analysts, key stakeholders, administrators and users to understand business and functional requirements and translate to software changes. Work directly with stakeholders to define online objectives and assist with selecting appropriate tools. Produce high quality tools to enhance web site usability and achieve the online goals of our customers. Bring fresh ideas on how technology can be used to solve big problems. Write and document code in modern web languages. Provide cross-functional training to lower level developers on the team. Conduct appropriate testing and documentation on development projects. Execute regular website maintenance tasks including content updates.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or a directly related field plus three (3) years of software development experience. Experience must include:

Three (3) years of experience with the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Java, Ruby, C#, or C++
  • SDLC processes, OOD, algorithms, complexity analysis and data structures

Two (2) years of experience with the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
  • Hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages
  • Web Programming Skills, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JQUERY
  • Web User Interface Design (UI)
  • Client-side web technologies HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JQUERY
  • Database design (SQL)

One (1) year of experience with the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
  • Object-Oriented Design
  • GitHub version control system
  • CRM or Marketing Automation tools
  • Building and implementing Web Services based on SOAP or REST
  • Creating automated unit testing processes

For the majority of the day it’s a mix of weekly check-ins with various teams, project updates, and the occasional brainstorm.

When I’m not in meetings I’ve got headphones in while planning, writing, or designing — at my desk or perched somewhere around the office.
