The Director of Technology & AI will be responsible for leading and overseeing all technological and AI initiatives within the CCO org. This strategic leadership role involves defining the technical vision and roadmap, fostering innovation, building and managing high-performing teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of products and solutions that leverage cutting-edge technology and AI. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with deep technical expertise, strong management skills, and a proven track record of driving technological excellence and business impact.
About The Role
Strategic Leadership & Vision-Define and drive the long-term technology and AI strategy in alignment with business goals. Evaluate emerging technologies, especially in AI/ML, and develop a prioritized, resource-aligned technology roadmap.
Team Leadership & Management-Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of developers, PMs, tech leads, and AI experts. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence. Oversee performance, development, and recruitment to build a strong technical team.
Product & Project Delivery-Oversee end-to-end delivery of AI-driven products and solutions, ensuring quality, scalability, and timely execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and enforce best practices in development, AI, and data governance.
Technical Expertise & Innovation-Maintain deep knowledge in software architecture, cloud, ML/AI, and ethics. Guide system architecture and lead R&D to integrate cutting-edge AI into products.
Operational Excellence-Manage budgets, resources, and vendors effectively. Optimize development processes (Agile, DevOps), ensure compliance, and track KPIs for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 8+ years in tech leadership, including 2+ in AI/ML.
- Proven track record in building and scaling engineering and AI teams.
- Strong in software development, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and system architecture.
- Deep hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data science tools.
- Delivered complex tech/AI products from concept to production.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Industry experience in [FinTech/e-commerce/healthcare preferred.
- Entrepreneurial and innovation-driven mindset.
- Skilled in managing cross-functional teams and customer-facing environments.
- Advanced degree (Master’s/Ph.D.) in CS, AI, ML, or related field
