We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Sales Enablement to join our dynamic, late-stage health tech startup. Reporting to the VP of Revenue Operations this pivotal role will drive the optimization of our sales processes and strategies to enhance close rates with our enterprise and commercial customers and Health Plans. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the benefits landscape, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in sales enablement within B2B environments targeting large organizations.
We are only considering candidates based on the East Coast. Candidates must be able to work Eastern Time Zone hours and attend occasional in-person meetings in NYC.
What you’ll do:
- Design and implement the Revenue Enablement strategy at Spring Health
- Lead a talented team of Rev Enablement Professionals serving our Sales and Customer Success teams
- Develop strong cross-functional relationships to connect the product, the value proposition, and the audience (both internal and external)
- Drive the onboarding strategy, recurring enablement rhythms, and the annual refresh of “Spring University" curriculum which coincides with our Revenue Kickoff event at the beginning of each year
- Serve as a subject matter expert and ensure team alignment on GTM strategy
- Build unique and compelling sales tools, including internal enablement guides in conjunction with cross-functional teams
- Bring ideas on best approaches to enabling products in new and innovative ways.
What success looks like in this role:
- Obtain cross-functional leadership (Product, Sales, Marketing) alignment on strategic vision and tactical plan for Rev Enablement at Spring Health within first 60 days of employment
- Ongoing internal customer satisfaction via survey responses across sales, product, marketing leadership and end users
- Ongoing operational excellence including internal customer support response or resolution times, training attendance, training satisfaction
- Sales revenue metrics including win rate
- Customer retention revenue metrics
- Your team’s positive feedback on team culture and achievements
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Education, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications in Training/Learning & Development are a plus).
- 5-8 years of experience in sales enablement, sales operations, or a related role within B2B technology or health tech.
- Proven experience scaling sales organizations in late-stage startups.
- Demonstrated success in improving close rates and sales performance with enterprise and commercial customers.
- Health plan and health ecosystem enablement experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and sales enablement tools.
- Exceptional training, coaching, and presentation skills.
- Ability to create compelling sales content and collateral for high-level decision-makers.
- Proficiency in data analysis and leveraging metrics for decision-making.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with health tech products, services, and the regulatory landscape.
- Ability to understand and translate complex product features into customer benefits.
- Strategic thinker with a collaborative and influential leadership style.
- Adaptable to fast-paced, evolving startup environments.
- Customer-centric with deep empathy for internal and customer needs.
- Innovative and creative problem-solver.
The target base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
