At Tive, we imagine a fully-transparent world in which everything and everyone is connected. We innovate beyond what the world thought possible—so what people hold near and dear arrives on time and in full.

We believe (and live!) four core values:

  • Transparency First: We make everything visible so that everyone can operate better
  • Always strive to make things simpler
  • We are One Team, we have each other's backs
  • Relentless iteration to optimize and improve

Whether shipped by road, rail, ocean, or air, Tive reduces shipment delays, minimizes rejected loads, and decreases theft, damage, and spoilage. Our customers count on Tive to ensure that their shipments are delivered on time and in full—because every shipment matters.

As the Director, Product Marketing, you will lead the next chapter of Product Marketing at Tive. Reporting to the Director, Global Marketing, you’ll bring the strategic thinking, customer focus and narrative clarity needed to sharpen how we position our products and communicate their value across our evolving hardware and software capabilities. As our offering grows in complexity and reach, you’ll own the messaging frameworks, product and vertical positioning, and Go-To-Market strategies that ensure Tive stands out and scales effectively.

With proven experience developing others, you’ll also manage an existing Senior Product Marketing Manager and together, you’ll operate as a highly collaborative team, with this role focused on setting strategic direction, evolving the function and ensuring we are equipped to scale with confidence.

This is a high-impact role for a senior product marketer who is ready to shape how Tive tells its product story and scale a function that is critical to Tive’s next phase of growth.

About the Role

  • Own the development and evolution of product and vertical-level messaging across Tive’s full product portfolio
  • Lead Go-To-Market (GTM) planning for major launches and updates, working cross functionally across Product, Sales, Marketing and Enablement to ensure readiness across every touchpoint
  • Serve as the go-to expert on Tive’s buyers, influencers and competitors - leading market intelligence, segmentation, win/loss analysis, and cross-functional feedback loops to inform messaging, positioning and GTM strategy
  • Shape product and vertical positioning strategies, creating differentiated narratives that speak directly to buyer needs and industry challenges
  • Partner with Global Marketing to inform campaign planning with strong messaging, customer insights and solution-based value propositions, while enabling regional teams to adapt to local market needs
  • Support Sales Enablement to create strategic tools and content, from pitch decks to training sessions
  • Guide the development of industry-leading content that showcases the value of Tive and its solutions with strategic customer-facing collateral
  • Manage and mentor the existing Senior Product Marketing Manager, providing strategic direction and alignment while enabling strong execution across launches and campaigns
  • Champion the growth of the Product Marketing function at Tive - helping to define processes, best practices and ways of working to scale effectively

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B Product Marketing, ideally in SaaS, connected hardware/IoT, or supply chain/logistics technology
  • Bachelors degree in business or marketing
  • Proven experience developing messaging and Go-To-Market strategies across multiple product types and industries
  • Strong ability to synthesize technical product inputs into clear, concise, buyer-friendly messaging
  • Track record of supporting vertical specific GTM motions
  • Confident speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups both in person and in virtual environments
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong writing and content creation abilities, showcasing a portfolio of work you have led or were involved in
  • Location - Boston preferred, Remote available (East Coast).

What does Tive offer?

  • A chance to join what may very well turn out to be the most important company in your career.
  • The autonomy and resources to build what you know how to build.
  • Work with a committed global team that have each others back.
  • Office-based or hybrid options. Your choice.
  • Competitive equity to ensure all of our employees have a sense of ownership in the long-term success of Tive’s growth.

Compensation:

$170,000-180,000 base salary.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

We celebrate diversity, and consider it key to our success as both a team and a company. We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment of mutual respect for all employees.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
