About Ting Labs

Ting Labs is on a mission to help prevent electrical fires and make homes safer. Our breakthrough Ting technology combines an intelligent plug-in sensor with advanced AI and expert service to identify electrical hazards before they can become fires.

With Ting protecting more than one million homes, we’re building a category-defining brand and entering our next stage of growth.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Director, Growth & Marketing Operations to lead Ting’s direct-to-consumer growth strategy and the marketing operations foundation behind it.

This role owns the full D2C growth engine — from brand advertising and performance marketing to conversion and customer acquisition — as well as the data, systems, measurement, and processes that enable the broader marketing organization to operate effectively.

You’ll determine where and how we invest, build an integrated brand and performance marketing strategy, and ensure we have the data and infrastructure to understand what’s working and make better decisions. This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who can connect strategy, execution, technology, and analytics to drive measurable growth.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll partner closely with Creative, Product, Engineering, Finance, and external partners.

What You'll Do

Growth

  • Own D2C growth strategy and results, including customer acquisition, revenue, CAC, ROAS, and other key growth targets.
  • Lead brand and performance marketing investment across TV/CTV, paid search, paid social, digital video, Amazon, and emerging channels.
  • Own media strategy, budget, and allocation, continually optimizing investment based on performance and incrementality.•
  • Build a rigorous experimentation engine across channels, audiences, creative, offers, landing pages, and conversion experiences.
  • Partner with Creative to develop high-performing work that builds the Ting brand and drives action.
  • Identify and scale new growth opportunities across the D2C funnel.
  • Own agency and media partner relationships, setting clear expectations and holding partners accountable for results.

Marketing Operations, Data & Measurement

  • Own the marketing data and technology ecosystem, ensuring the right systems, integrations, and processes are in place to support the organization.
  • Lead marketing measurement and attribution, including CAC, LTV, ROAS, incrementality, funnel performance, and channel effectiveness.
  • Ensure marketing data is accurate, connected, and actionable across platforms and customer touchpoints.
  • Own marketing reporting and dashboards, giving teams and leadership a clear view of performance, trends, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering on tracking, data integrations, conversion signals, and marketing technology needs.
  • Own marketing processes and operations, improving how work is planned, executed, measured, and optimized across the team.
  • Manage marketing technology and measurement partners and continuously evaluate opportunities to improve the marketing stack.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience across growth marketing, D2C, performance marketing, and/or marketing operations.
  • Proven experience owning and scaling significant consumer marketing investments across brand and performance marketing.
  • Strong command of customer acquisition economics and marketing analytics, including CAC, LTV, ROAS, attribution, incrementality, and forecasting.
  • Deep understanding of marketing data, measurement infrastructure, tracking, attribution, and MarTech systems.
  • Experience connecting data across advertising platforms, websites, ecommerce, CRM/lifecycle systems, and BI environments.
  • Experience building measurement and experimentation frameworks that identify what is truly driving growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights, decisions, and investment recommendations.
  • Strong creative judgment and an understanding of how brand and performance work together to drive growth.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, and technology partners.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to work effectively across Marketing, Creative, Product, Engineering, and Finance.
  • A bias toward action and the ability to move comfortably between strategy and execution.

Why Join Us?

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a groundbreaking technology that is creating a new category while helping to protect families, homes, and communities from the devastating impacts of electrical fires. We are a passionate team, dedicated to revolutionizing fire prevention to make the world a safer place. Our pace and growth trajectory offer exceptional opportunities for professional development, and we offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. If you want to take ownership, shape strategy, and drive meaningful change, you’ll love Ting Labs.

Ting Labs is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
