DaVita is currently seeking Transaction Director to our M&A team which we call Deal Depot. This role would report to the Vice President of Corporate Development. This teammate will be responsible for managing our growing pipeline of increasingly complex transactions.

Location: The ideal location for this position is Southern California, based out of our El Segundo, CA office. However, we are open to considering remote candidates, with a preference for those located on the West Coast. Please note that up to 10% ad hoc travel is required, and the position will operate on West Coast hours.

Specific Role Deliverables for this Transaction Director includes:  

  • Execute transactions related to the domestic kidney care business including acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures 

  • Negotiate deal documents including confidentiality agreements, letter of intents, purchase agreements, operating agreements, management services agreements, medical director agreements and leases 

  • Coordinate internal review across multiple functions including legal, compliance, finance, accounting and field operations 

  • Support operations team with growth strategy development/execution 

  • Work with corporate development team to create pipeline of new opportunities 

  • Collaborate with Senior Financial Analyst to evaluate target companies, oversee due diligence teams, and create internal and external deal presentations 

Required Competencies and Qualifications 

  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders 

  • Comfortable presenting to large physician groups/hospitals 

  • Ability to lead a deal process from initial stages through closing 

  • Ability to solve complex problems with creative solutions 

  • Strong working knowledge of M&A valuation, transaction structuring, and deal terms 

  • Strong financial, analytical, and interpersonal skills 

  • Self-starter, with ability to immediately to manage multiple transactions 

  • Creative, energetic thinker, not in need of step by step instruction after short ramp up period 

  • Strong team management skills 

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Ability to think quickly and thoroughly 

  • Ability to quickly understand health care services regulatory environment and to spot issues as appropriate and as necessary 

  • Willing to travel 1-5 nights a month 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in managing (as the primary responsible party) and negotiating acquisitions and joint ventures 

  • Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development or related field highly preferred 

  • Health Care industry experience preferred, but not required 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred

Salary/ Wage Range

$161,000.00 - $236,000.00 / year

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position. • New York Exempt: • New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year • Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year • Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year New York Non-exempt: • New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour • Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour • Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour Washington Exempt: $77,968.80/year Washington Non-exempt: • Bellingham: $17.66/hour • Burien: $21.16/hour • Unincorporated King County: $20.29/hour • Renton: $20.90/hour • Seattle: $20.76/hour • Tukwila: $21.10/hour • Remainder of Washington state: $16.66/hour
