Primary Purpose:

Bright Horizons is seeking a strategic, execution-focused Brand Director to lead the development, governance, and execution of enterprise-wide brand initiatives that ensure a consistent, scalable, and defined brand strategy across all consumer, client, digital, and physical touchpoints.

This role sits at the intersection of brand strategy, design excellence, and implementation, serving as the connector between Brand, Creative, Content, Account Management, Facilities, Digital, Product, and Enterprise teams. The Director will be responsible for translating brand strategy into enterprise experiences that enable the organization to scale efficiently while maintaining brand integrity.

A key focus of the role will be driving enterprise brand initiatives, optimizing creative and brand workflows, leading signage and environmental brand implementation at scale, advancing digital tools that support creative services, and developing scalable concepting processes that strengthen both the Bright Horizons brand and consumer experience.

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week onsite at our headquarters in Newton, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Brand Implementation

  • Lead the execution of enterprise-wide brand initiatives that support Bright Horizons' business priorities, growth strategy, and evolving portfolio of care and education solutions.
  • Develop and operationalize scalable processes that ensure consistent brand implementation across the creative and partner channels, business units, vendors, and customer touchpoints.
  • Partner with the VP of Brand and Creative leadership to translate strategic brand priorities into executable roadmaps and implementation plans.
  • Establish creative team governance models, workflows, and frameworks that improve consistency, speed-to-market, and efficiency.
  • Serve as the organizational expert on brand deployment, implementation standards, and enterprise adoption.

Brand Experience & Customer Experience Initiatives

  • Lead enterprise brand and customer experience initiatives that strengthen how consumers, clients, and employees experience the Bright Horizons brand.
  • Partner with Digital Product, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience teams to ensure brand experience principles are consistently implemented across the consumer journey.
  • Evaluate brand touchpoints and identify opportunities to improve consistency, usability, and customer engagement.
  • Support enterprise initiatives focused on improving consumer trust, navigation, service experiences, and brand perception.

Signage & Environmental Brand Systems

  • Own the strategy, governance, and process development for environmental branding and signage implementation across the Bright Horizons center network.
  • Develop scalable signage standards, implementation frameworks, and operational processes that support renovations, acquisitions, relocations, and new center openings.
  • Serve as the central liaison between Brand, Facilities, Operations, production partners, and external vendors.
  • Create sustainable systems to manage signage prioritization, vendor engagement, budget planning, approval workflows, and implementation tracking.
  • Ensure all physical environments consistently reflect Bright Horizons brand standards and customer experience principles.

Creative Services Tools & Digital Enablement

  • In partnership with martech lead the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of digital tools that support Creative Services, Brand Operations, and cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee the strategy and governance of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform as the enterprise source of truth for brand assets.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows through technology, automation, self-service tools, and scalable creative systems.
  • Drive adoption and governance of creative operations platforms, templates, and asset management processes.
  • Develop reporting and measurement frameworks that improve visibility into asset utilization, workflow efficiency, and brand compliance.

Client Marketing Process & Enterprise Customization

  • Lead the development of scalable processes that support customized client marketing initiatives while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Partner closely with Account Management, Commercial, and Marketing teams to establish repeatable frameworks for client-specific campaigns, communications, and assets.
  • Define governance and approval processes that enable customization without sacrificing brand integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce complexity within client marketing workflows.
  • Ensure custom client initiatives align with enterprise brand standards and broader marketing objectives.

Creative Operations Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic partner to Creative Operations, Design, Copy, and Project Management teams.
  • Establish and optimize intake, prioritization, workflow, and implementation processes that improve execution across creative and brand initiatives.
  • Help define resource models and operational frameworks that balance enterprise priorities, brand investments, and business demands.
  • Partner with PMO and Account Management to ensure work is appropriately scoped, briefed, prioritized, and measured.
  • Support capacity planning and workflow optimization efforts across Brand and Creative Services.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a primary connector across Brand, Creative, Facilities, Operations, Product, Digital, Account Management, and external partners.
  • Facilitate alignment on enterprise initiatives requiring coordinated brand implementation.
  • Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders and functional leaders to ensure successful adoption of brand standards and processes.
  • Lead external agencies, consultants, production partners, and implementation vendors as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in brand operations, brand implementation, creative operations, marketing operations, or enterprise brand management.
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven success building scalable processes, governance models, and operational frameworks within complex organizations.
  • Experience leading large-scale implementation initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and business functions.
  • Strong understanding of brand systems, environmental branding, creative workflows, and marketing operations.
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms, workflow tools, and creative technology ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills.
  • Experience leading agencies, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to translate brand strategy into scalable, repeatable systems and experiences.

Compensation:

This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately four (4) months. The annualized salary range for this position is $135,000 to $150,000. Based on the anticipated four-month duration, total compensation for the assignment is expected to be approximately $41,500 to $46,200.

The compensation range listed reflects what Bright Horizons, in good faith, anticipates offering for this temporary assignment. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, education, training, certifications, geographic location, and other business or organizational considerations.
