Job Description

About the role

We're looking for a hands-on demand generation marketer to own full-funnel growth for two SaaS products built for political campaigns: a campaign organizing and peer-to-peer texting toolkit, and a campaign website builder. You'll be the engine behind acquisition and activation during the busiest stretch of the election cycle, turning signups into active, revenue-generating customers.

This role also takes over paid media as it moves back in-house to the growth team. You'll lead that transition, manage live campaigns, and launch new channels and tests alongside a performance marketing partner. You'll need to run independently from day one, with a small, busy team counting on you to set the plan and drive it.

What you'll do

  • Run a stage-based activation program (awareness through revenue) that moves new signups to active, paying use of the texting and organizing toolkit through Election Day.
  • Drive the highest-impact activation step, business texting (10DLC) registration, through targeted emails and drop-off recovery, in partnership with the email coordinator.
  • Own paid media as it transitions back to growth marketing: audit and manage Google, Meta, and LinkedIn campaigns, with Google Ads carrying the majority of budget.
  • Design and launch new paid channels and tactics to test, and report clearly on what to scale or cut.
  • Produce get-out-the-vote (GOTV) content for the organizing toolkit: a blog series, a webinar, an early-voting series, and a pre-election newsletter push.
  • Build acquisition content for the website builder, including a competitive one-pager and candidate-facing campaigns ahead of the 2027 filing window.
  • Support November and December candidate trainings with campaign content and promotion.
  • Track the funnel by stage, plus email, content, and landing-page metrics, against revenue and activation goals, and report weekly on progress.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • 5+ years in demand generation or growth marketing, ideally at a B2B or B2C SaaS company.
  • Proven results driving product activation and conversion, not just top-of-funnel leads.
  • Strong, hands-on paid media skills, especially Google Ads, plus Meta and LinkedIn Ads.
  • Experience building lifecycle and nurture programs in HubSpot.
  • Comfort owning a funnel end to end: setting goals, reading the data, and changing course quickly.
  • Ability to create or direct content (blogs, webinars, one-pagers) that drives action.
  • Self-direction in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment with fixed dates you can't move.
  • Alignment with the client's mission of supporting Democratic and progressive candidates and causes.

Nice to have

  • Experience taking over or rebuilding paid media accounts mid-flight.
  • Familiarity with SMS marketing and 10DLC registration.
  • Experience marketing to small businesses, nonprofits, or first-time buyers.
  • Product analytics experience (e.g., Mixpanel or similar).

Tools: HubSpot, Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads

Political experience is not required. A strong SaaS growth background is preferred.

So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings

  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
