Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare data integration, EHR interoperability, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in HL7 v2 (ADT, ORU, ORM, etc.), FHIR (R4), API-based integrations, and clinical data standards.
  • Experience working with EHRs such as Epic (Aura, Care Everywhere), Cerner, Flatiron, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with data transformation, validation, and ETL tools (Mirth Connect, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, or similar).
  • Strong SQL skills for querying, validating, and troubleshooting healthcare data.
  • Experience working with APIs (REST, SOAP, OAuth 2.0, JSON, XML) for healthcare system integrations.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, PHI data security, and regulatory compliance in healthcare integrations.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools to track interface performance and troubleshoot issues.

Nice to Have:

  • Epic Interconnect API, FHIR Bulk Data Access, or Epic Bridges experience.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with identity management solutions (OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect) in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with machine learning-ready data structures or real-world evidence (RWE) pipelines in healthcare analytics.
