We're hiring a Customer Success Manager I (Collegiate DII/DIII, North America) to own a growing portfolio of collegiate accounts and drive the renewals and expansion that keep Teamworks the trusted partner in the DII/DIII market. I'm Michael Woo, Director, Customer Success at Teamworks.
We're seeing real growth in the DII/DIII collegiate space, and this role lets us match that growth with the level of attention each account deserves. This role exists so our CSMs can take a more personalized, high-touch approach with each account rather than spreading across too large a book. You'll be the main point of contact and the voice of the customer for a portfolio of DII/DIII schools, directly responsible for the two numbers that matter most to our team: gross revenue retention and expansion revenue. This is a chance to own real business outcomes on a high-performing team, in a market that's growing fast and hasn't been fully tapped yet.
The RoleOwn a full portfolio of DII/DIII collegiate accounts and lead each step of the customer lifecycle, from onboarding through renewal and expansion
Drive renewal and expansion conversations that directly move our GRR and Net New ARR numbers
Partner with our team to dig into account data and Gainsight insights, spotting risk and opportunity before it becomes a fire drill
Use AI tools like Claude and Notion AI as a genuine thought partner, starting from the business problem and figuring out where AI actually helps
Build trusted relationships across coaches, compliance staff, and athletic department leadership to deepen product adoption
Experience working in collegiate athletics or as a Customer Success Manager with a background in college athletics, we're open to either path but need real grounding in one
Demonstrated ability to run a renewal or pricing conversation with a hesitant customer, not just talk about having done it
Genuine, intentional use of AI tools like Claude or Notion AI, starting from the business problem rather than the tool
Comfort managing an independent book of roughly 100 accounts without heavy day-to-day oversight
Familiarity with some or all Teamworks products
Experience with Teamworks products (i.e. Hub, Compliance & Recruiting)
Background in account management or SaaS customer success
Experience with customer education or training programs
This is a chance to own a fast-growing piece of the collegiate sports market and see your work show up directly in the numbers that matter, GRR and ARR. You'll get the pace and tools of a tech company alongside the world of college athletics, and you'll be joining a Customer Success team that's already performing at a high level and building the next chapter of it.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship at this time.
