Position Overview
The coordinator must be a uniquely qualified professional as they are interface between our Optometric providers and patients. Emphasis will be placed on the associate’s ability to order contact lenses and contact lens trial lenses. Position will also include the ability to communicate effectively at a high level, to deliver superior customer service to both our providers and their patients, and to achieve all sales objectives. This is a temporary 3-6 month, full time opportunity that does allow for up to one day per week remote.

Primary Job Duties and Tasks:
- In all ways professionally represent OCB to the patients
- Take ownership and manage all activities of the OCB contact lens business
- Assist providers and opticians with respect to contact lenses and related questions.
- Monitor contact lens orders to ensure all are processed per company guidelines (including specialty and medically necessary lenses) in an accurate and timely manner using point of sales systems
- Maintain all contact lens web-based orders.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of orders, prescriptions and payment information.
- Ensure all contact lens insurance claims are filed on time and accurately.
- Complete all daily, weekly and monthly financial and management reports on time and accurately
- Maintain trial contact lens inventory levels and ensure product is organized.
- Review the clinic patient schedule daily to understand patient volume, potential sales opportunities and insurance benefit eligibility.
- Oversee the proper use of all in-office promotions, rebates and point-of-sale materials.
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment and maintain the equipment needed to perform all duties.
- Assists in driving contact sales & collections to meet OCB financial objectives by communicating regularly with the Director of Optometry and Optical Services.
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with providers, clinical and administrative staff.
- Other job requirements include faxing, prior authorizations if required as well as keeping up to date with our online Hello Abby contact lens ordering system.
- Offer additional contact lens support throughout the organization as required.
- Performs related job duties as required.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- NCLE Certification preferred or similar experience and knowledge in lieu of the certification.
- Display an enthusiastic and engaging personality
- Capable of reading, analyzing and understanding contact lens prescriptions
- Use of strong verbal and written communications
- Display an engaging and customer-oriented approach
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel.
- Experience with Compulink or MVE, print functions, email and ability to search insurance websites
- Effective time management and organization
- Relationship management and teambuilding
- Problem solving skills
- Take constructive direction on performance
