Job DescriptionThe Bose Corporate Strategy team works on a diverse range of projects that help determine the future trajectory of the company. You’ll work with executives and leaders across the company to set strategic priorities, analyze the biggest challenges and opportunities, and inform critical decisions with insightful data-driven recommendations. We help define the areas where the company should compete, create clear strategies, identify capabilities needed to succeed, and drive execution against the long-term vision for Bose. We deliver actionable solutions based on a deep knowledge of the business and external factors.

About the Role
The Corporate Strategy Manager serves as an advisor to senior leaders and cross-functional teams. You will work on a wide variety of business challenges across the enterprise. You will bring a high level of skill, organizational awareness, and effectiveness to complex problem solving, often in ambiguous situations. To be successful, you’ll need to be an independent thinker as well as a strong team player who thrives on tackling difficult problems and who can deliver timely analysis and recommendations.
The successful candidate must have a strong command of the strategy process. In addition to strong technical skills, you’ll also need to possess good judgment, intuitive business acumen, and great people skills. You will establish credibility through successful work and partnerships to influence key business decisions.
With the full support of highly collaborative colleagues, you will be expected to scope and lead projects and work directly with leaders and teams across the company, often with little direct supervision. This is a high-visibility role with career growth potential.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end strategy development including new initiatives and pivots/adjustments to existing ones based on in-market learnings or new developments
- Gather data from relevant sources and stakeholders, identify the key issues and strategy questions, develop hypotheses, define the work scope and process, gain alignment
- Conduct rigorous analysis using primary and secondary research, apply critical thinking to synthesize themes, diagnose the problem, and propose the range of available opportunities and solutions
- Use strategy frameworks to structure complex data and facilitate understanding and decision making
- Construct business cases; model alternative scenarios as needed; collaborate with Corporate FP&A and business unit/category teams as needed
- Create and deliver concise, impactful presentations to stakeholders
- Develop subject matter/domain expertise; over time, become a go-to resource with a deep understanding of Bose’s vision, strategies, customers, markets, products, technologies, value drivers, and business operations
- Foster best practices and advance the team’s capabilities and learnings through continuous improvement
- Participate in peer reviews of other projects; contribute thoughtful critique and challenge thinking to strengthen the work and help ensure the team produces unbiased insights and high-quality recommendations
- Build strong working relationships with executives, colleagues, and senior leaders throughout the company
- As needed, support the Business Development and M&A teams to identify and analyze potential targets and conduct due diligence
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience in strategy consulting with a top-tier firm, or 5+ years directly relevant business experience
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (business, economics, finance, mathematics, or a technical discipline preferred)
- MBA strongly preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to frame ambiguous problems and apply strategic frameworks to solve them
- Demonstrated competence in analytical problem solving, conceptual thinking, logic, and the ability to synthesize large amounts of information to draw insights and conclusions
- Strong written communications and verbal presentation skills; must be comfortable presenting in front of executive audiences and adept at handling tough questions with poise and confidence
- Demonstrated business acumen with a solid understanding of financial statements and ability to construct and analyze business plans and models
- Strong interpersonal skills and situational awareness, active listening, and the ability to create influence without authority; must be able to work effectively with diverse teams at all levels
- Team oriented, an energetic self-starter with a positive attitude and good judgment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and often against tight deadlines in a dynamic environment; able to juggle multiple projects at once
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
