Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.

JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.
The Program Instructors Recruiter provides leadership, direction and planning to identify, reach out to and engage with College and universities of interest that could provide volunteer program instructors.
Responsibilities
- The Program Instructors Recruiter is responsible for the Interviewing for the interviewing of the prospective program instructors
- Uses a handshake to gather information about the candidates to be interviewed.
- Collaborate with the Curriculum Team and the Community Engagement team for the proper setup of the program instructors
- Volunteer Program Director and other stakeholders to develop and refine the volunteer instructor training program. (This is for COLE300, COLE.PIO team
- Mandatory Meetings: Attend virtual team meetings weekly : (Sundays 5pm)
Qualifications
- Genuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender gap
- Familiarity with the US college ecosystem and Gen Z or dealing with teenagers.young adults
- Good interpersonal skills
- Resourceful, can-do attitude
- Experience in a recruitment or volunteer engagement function
- Comfort working in a ‘virtual organization’ with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce)
