In this role, you will report to a Global Channel Sales Engineering leader and collaborate with global channel sales engineers and dedicated partner account managers to drive partnership growth and technical adoption at CDW.
About the Role
We are currently considering candidates in the state of Illinois with the
As a Channel Sales Engineer aligned to CDW, your primary responsibility will be to foster partner adoption, enhance technical expertise, and drive joint revenue growth. Specifically, your focus will be to:
  • Articulate the value proposition of Rapid7 solutions to CDW engineers and sellers to showcase technical differentiation.
  • Deliver high-quality product demos and conduct effective proof-of-concept evaluations for partner teams and customers.
  • Facilitate in-person and remote technical training sessions and product demos in collaboration with CDW partner account managers.
  • Create and execute shared technical enablement resource plans to increase activation among partner sales engineers and account executives.
  • Provide technical guidance and solution information to CDW stakeholders and end-user customers via digital channels and on-site engagements.
  • Assist dedicated partner account managers with partner-led opportunities and technical sales training.
  • Travel consistently to CDW headquarters in Chicago, IL and remote partner offices to strengthen relationships and deliver training.

The skills and qualities you'll bring include:
  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales or technical enablement role within a fast-paced technology, startup, VAR, or channel environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CDW's organizational structure, go-to-market strategy, and channel sales models.
  • Working familiarity with IT, cloud security, DevOps, application security, vulnerability management, incident response, or security automation.
  • Technical expertise with one or more major cloud service providers, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional collaboration by building global networks and working across internal and partner boundaries to deliver sustainable revenue and customer value.
  • Effective decision-making to resolve complex technical questions, enable momentum during evaluations, and maintain transparency throughout the partner ecosystem.
  • Clear and effective communication to convey technical rationale, present effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, and foster partner commitment.
  • Foster a culture of accountability for driving joint enablement outcomes, setting clear expectations, and meeting partner commitments.
  • Pursue continuous craft development with an open mindset toward learning new cybersecurity technologies, sales processes, and enablement strategies.

The annual salary range for this role, depending on location, is:
United States: $110,500.00 - 149,500.00 USD Annual
Salary ranges may vary based on geographical location. This range does not include variable/incentive compensation, equity and benefits (where applicable/eligible).
