Payroll and Benefits

  • Administer HRIS and payroll systems, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain accurate employee records.

  • Process client payroll, conduct payroll audits, generate reports, and investigate and resolve payroll-related issues.

  • Process employee compensation changes and ensure updates are accurately reflected in payroll and HRIS systems.

  • Support clients with benefits administration, annual open enrollment, and related employee communications.

  • Coordinate the onboarding process across multiple clients, from pre-onboarding activities through completion of required documentation and system setup.

  • Prepare and coordinate offer letters, background checks, new-hire communications, and employee records.

  • Enter and verify new-hire information in payroll and HRIS systems and audit onboarding records for completeness and accuracy.

  • Develop and refine onboarding processes, recommend best practices, and help clients create a consistent, positive new-hire experience.

  • Coordinate the development and delivery of new-employee orientation and onboarding programs.

Offboarding and Terminations

  • Determine final payroll requirements and process in accordance with applicable state payroll laws.

  • Maintain accurate offboarding and termination records.

  • Identify opportunities to improve offboarding processes and documentation.

HR Policy

  • Develop and deliver virtual employee training programs and maintain related documentation.

  • Help track training completion and identify outstanding compliance requirements.

Other

  • Create and maintain employee files.

  • Support project management activities and help keep client deliverables, timelines, and priorities on track.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
