This role focuses on ensuring that customer agreements, special invoicing, and SKU setups seamlessly translate from CRM bookings into clean financial records in the ERP (Sage Intacct). By serving as the primary point of contact for Accounts Receivable and Finance questions, you will keep order-to-cash workflows flowing smoothly while directly supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Billing Administration & Contract Synchronization

  • Perform daily and monthly contract reviews to ensure all deals closed in Salesforce properly synchronize with Sage Intacct.
  • Manage daily contract invoicing and monthly invoicing for multi-year contracts.
  • Answer and resolve contract, billing, and system synchronization inquiries specifically related to Sage Intacct and customer accounts.

2. Revenue Recognition & Finance Support

  • Serve as an operational point of contact for the Finance and Accounts Receivable teams regarding contract terms, billing schedules, and invoice queries.
  • Review monthly bookings and agreements to ensure compliance with company revenue recognition policies and ASC 606 guidelines before sync.
  • Ensure non-standard deals and custom contract terms are in compliance with Company's revenue policy.

3. Month-End Close & Reconciliation Support

  • Support month-end close by verifying that all revenue schedules, bookings, and contract syncs are clear, accurate, and posted.
  • Support month-end checks across intercompany orders, churn, and loss queues to ensure data integrity before Finance pulls closing reports.

4. Workstream Efficiency Initiatives

  • Participate in Salesforce process improvement projects with the RevOps and Business Technology Teams to improve cross-functional workstreams.
  • Leverage corporate approved AI tools to automate workflows and reporting.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Experience: 3 years in Billing, Revenue Operations, Accounting, or Sales Operations.
  • Core Systems: Hands-on experience navigating Sage Intacct or similar platform (Billing, Contracts, AR) and Salesforce CRM (Opportunities, Contracts, Products).
  • Billing & Accounting Expertise: Practical understanding of invoicing, contract schedules, and basic ASC 606 revenue recognition concepts.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent problem-solving skills to serve as a supportive bridge between Finance, AR, and Sales Operations.

Target Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 USD

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
