BIA Agency Accounting and Finance Specialist

We are currently looking for a motivated and self-driven individual to join our Accounting and Finance department.  This is a great opportunity for an individual to not only build a career but to help contribute to the growth and development of a large growing agency.  This position will be based in our Longmeadow MA office.  Additionally, after an initial in-house training for the first 90 days, this position can be hybrid work at home, with a few days in office and a couple days at home each week.

The Accounting and Finance Specialist will focus on the following key responsibilities:

• Agency Commissions – Reconciliation of commission received against download transactions.
• Budget Analyst - Evaluate, report and plan with departments.
• Vendor Relationship management – Accounts Payable and contract review.
• Carrier Relationship management – Review results, track growth and contract administration.   
• Financial and Business reporting – Report creation and delivery with contextual explanation.

Successful candidates should possess the following skills:

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excel proficiency
• Communication skills
• Leadership skills
• Insurance Agency experience preferred
• Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint experience preferred
