Job Description:

The Consumer Insights & Analytics AVP will lead insights and analytics support for TJX’s Digital division (TJMaxx.com, Marshalls.com, Sierra stores and site) and of the TJX Rewards program. The AVP will be responsible for strategic partnership across the Digital division at TJX to analyze business performance, identify opportunities for customer base growth, and provide insights on how to build the brand and improve site experience. In partnership with marketing efficacy and media teams, the Consumer Insights AVP will also be responsible for audience strategy and testing in order to grow the .com and Sierra businesses.

As lead of insights and analytics for the TJX Rewards program, the AVP will partner with our internal Rewards marketing team, finance team, and external partners to identify opportunities for cardholder base growth, diagnose performance, and partner on development of audience test and measurement.

The AVP will work cross-functionally with a wide variety of stakeholders, including other consumer insight leaders, brand marketing leads, finance leaders, digital experience leaders, and elevating insights and strategy to Executive Level.

This leader will manage a team of three who are responsible for setting strategies and executing analytics in support of the Digital division and TJX Rewards. This includes oversight of associates who work within our expansive customer database.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead team on vision and execution of customer analytic and consumer insights learning plan for the Digital business (sites and Sierra brand) and Rewards, acting as the passionate voice of consumer, business, category and competitive insights.  

  • In partnership with media and marketing efficacy teams, ensure effectiveness of media strategies are understood and leveraged strategically, through media measurement tools and audience strategies.

  • Lead voice of the customer for the Digital organization (TJMaxx.com, Marshalls.com, Sierra stores and site), closely partnering with Digital leadership to ensure the customer drivers of business performance are well understood and opportunities to grow the business are prioritized

  • Integrate data and insights across various sources to determine overall implications and influence multiple stakeholders, including Executive level, with insights generated

  • Develop team of insights and analytic leaders and support management of external vendor relationships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably analytics focused (e.g., statistics, math, finance); Minimum 12 years of experience in customer or marketing analytics, ideally within Retail

  • Experience in guiding media investment decisions, leveraging measurement tools (e.g., MMM) and influencing audience strategy

  • Strong oral and written communicator with proven experience translating analytics findings into business insights and influencing business partners to drive action and optimize business performance

  • Exceptional analytic skills with the ability skillfully analyze, dissect, and interpret data

  • Adept at presenting complex concepts in an easy to understand and actionable way

  • Strong project management skills and comfortable in working in agile, fast paced environment

  • Experience working with large datasets to extract, manipulate and analyze customer data using analytical tools; SQL experience preferred

  • Experience in directing a team to develop, analyze, synthesize and communicate data and insights effectively

This position has a starting salary range of $146,800.00 to $190,900.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
