This role is located in Somerville, MA - We are a hybrid work environment and are in the office 3+ days/per week.

Tulip, the leader in AI-native frontline operations, is helping companies around the world equip their workforce with composable, connected apps, leading to higher quality work, improved efficiency, and end-to-end traceability across operations. Tulip’s cloud-native, no-code platform, powered by embedded AI, is driving the digital transformation of industrial environments through composable, human-centric solutions that go beyond disrupting the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) category.

A spinoff out of MIT, Tulip is headquartered in Somerville, MA, with offices in Germany, Hungary, Singapore, and Israel. Tulip has been recognized as a World Economic Forum Global Innovator, a 2024 Deloitte Technology Fast award winner, one of Energage’s Top Workplaces USA, and one of Built In Boston’s “Best Places to Work” and “Best Midsize Places to Work.”

About You:

Tulip is launching an ambitious, multi-year initiative to train 5,000 AI Process Engineers over the next five years, building a community of practitioners who deeply understand manufacturing and know how to apply AI where it truly creates value on the factory floor. To bring this vision to life, we’re looking for an operations-obsessed, relentlessly social Community Lead to help turn this initiative into a trusted, practitioner-led movement.

You are not interested in sitting on the sidelines or acting as a brand mouthpiece. You want to be in the community: showing up on factory floors, in live sessions, and in rooms full of engineers. You believe the strongest communities are built by serving their members, not broadcasting at them, and you thrive when you can build real relationships over time.

You are energized by manufacturing environments and frontline problem-solving, and you’re just as comfortable facilitating conversations with engineers as you are hosting live events or speaking to groups. You have the grit and curiosity to travel, lean in, and build momentum from the ground up, turning what starts as a campaign into a living, growing ecosystem. You’re motivated by helping others level up, and you’re excited by the challenge of shaping a community that directly informs and improves Tulip’s training, labs, and programming through continuous, real-world feedback.

What skills do I need?

  • 5+ years of content and community-building experience
  • Deep familiarity with manufacturing, operations, or industrial technology, and the ability to speak the language of the shop floor
  • Proven experience building and managing communities, programs, or audiences
  • Comfort hosting live events, speaking publicly, and engaging both in person and online
  • Strong instincts for storytelling, content creation, and audience growth
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: you’re excited to build something new and shape it as it grows
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly
  • Passion for helping others learn, level up, and succeed with new technology
  • Bonus / not required but nice to have:
    • Experience with AI, digital manufacturing, or industrial software
    • Background in field marketing, developer advocacy, community leadership, or education
    • On‑camera experience (video, podcasts, livestreams)
    • Existing relationships within manufacturing or engineering communities

Key Responsibilities:

Shepherd the AI Process Engineers Movement

    • Act as the connective tissue of the AI Process Engineers community, building trust, energy, and momentum
    • Build authentic relationships with manufacturing leaders, engineers, partners, and learners
    • Champion frontline practitioners as the leaders of AI adoption in manufacturing, both externally and internally

Own Community & Program Growth

    • Design and execute a community strategy that turns event attendees into long-term members
    • Foster engagement before, during, and after events to create a real sense of belonging
    • Create clear pathways for participation, contribution, and growth within the community

Be the Feedback Engine for Training & Labs

    • Act as the primary feedback loop between program participants and Tulip’s internal teams
    • Gather structured and unstructured feedback from workshops, labs, events, and community interactions
Synthesize insights from the field into clear recommendations to improve curriculum, labs, and learning outcomes
Partner with internal stakeholders to continuously evolve the program based on real frontline needs

Lead Events & Workshops

    • Promote, host, and attend live workshops at industry events, standalone field events, and virtual sessions
    • Partner with internal teams to design hands-on, high-value workshop experiences grounded in real manufacturing work
    • Travel regularly to support and grow the program in person

Drive Promotion & Campaign Strategy

    • Drive the promotion strategy for the AI Process Engineers program across channels
    • Collaborate with marketing to align messaging, positioning, and audience targeting
    • Help evolve the initiative from a launch campaign into a durable, scalable, multi-year program

Create Content That Educates & Inspires

    • Develop and participate in content such as videos, podcasts, social content, and written resources
    • Highlight community members, real-world manufacturing stories, and practical AI use cases
    • Experiment with new formats to expand reach and deepen engagement

Key Collaborators:
