Account Manager

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is hiring an Account Manager for our Somerville, MA corporate office.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving customer problems, building strong relationships, and taking a proactive approach to understanding and anticipating client needs. Responsibilities: 

 

  • Manage a book of business consisting of existing clients.
  • Drive sales of environmental waste management, disposal, and other Triumvirate services to new and existing clients.
  • Lead and coordinate routine services between customers and Triumvirate.
  • Cross-sell new, repeat, and recurring services to your assigned customer base.
  • Assist customers with key projects to help them maintain compliance.
  • Originate new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and prospecting.
  • Learn and effectively apply the Sandler Consultative Selling methodology.
  • Serve as a trusted, consultative liaison between clients and internal teams, solving problems and coordinating services to meet client needs.
  • Coordinate job scopes and proposal creation for new business.
  • Collect purchase orders to ensure timely payment of invoices and assist with outstanding invoice collections.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Qualify prospects, set appointments, and actively pursue new business opportunities.
  • Network within customer organizations to build relationships, trust, and referrals.
  • Deliver a "WOW" experience for both internal and external customers.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market changes, competitors, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with Service Recovery by identifying issues, developing solutions, and implementing procedures to prevent them from recurring.
  • Entertain customers and participate in client outings and networking events as needed.

Basic Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in the environmental services industry or a related field, with prior sales experience.
  • Strong passion for sales, positive attitude, and high level of motivation.
  • Goal-oriented, creative, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in facilities management.
  • Proven track record of selling to healthcare, higher education, life sciences, or industrial clients.
  • Ability to attend client outings and networking events as needed.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation.

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Experience in the environmental services industry.
  • Sandler Sales Training or similar sales training.
