10% Happier lands feel-good funding round

Boston-based 10% Happier is an app geared toward that person who’s always talked about meditating but has never really tried it. And your dad, who thinks meditating is for hippies. This week, the feel-good startup has something to smile about, as they just raised $3.7 million in funding. To date, that means the company, which offers guided meditation courses for “fidgety skeptics,” has reeled in a total of $5 million. Namaste! [TechCrunch]

Boston startup Cuseum now offers tours of the White House

Want to take a peek inside the most iconic home in America? Now, you can, thanks to tiny Boston-based startup Cuseum. The company, which uses technology to enhance visitor engagement at museums, now offers an app that provides a virtual educational tour of the White House and its surrounding neighborhood. The app features three separate tour experiences for in-person visitors and those who want to tour the White House from afar. The best part: the app even includes a “presidential look-alike” feature that allows users to take a selfie to find out which president or first lady they most resemble based on portraits from the White House’s collection. I think I’m a Martha Jefferson. Hbu? [Press Release]
