Hydrow Pulled in $55M, Mori Raised $50M, and More Boston Tech News

Boston tech had a big week with news ranging from food tech to a startup program launching at WeWork. Keep reading to find out more. This is the Built In Boston weekly refresh. 

Akeneo raised $135M. The Series D round was led by Boston-based VC firm Summit Partners. Akeneo provides product information management (PIM) and product experience management (PXM) platforms to help brands and businesses create product pages. The recent funding round will go toward developing its platform, building new partnerships and hiring executives. [Built In Boston]  

Hydrow gained $55M. Hydrow, the maker of a rowing machine, gained $55 million in a Series D round led by ​​Constitution Capital. The funding will go toward building its brand, marketing expenses and product innovation. Hydrow currently has 21 jobs listed on Built In. [CNBC]

Mori got $50M. Mori wants to help with the supply chain crisis by extending the shelf life of foods with a process that involves heat, water and salt. Mori gained $50 million in a Series B1 round led by Prelude Ventures. Mori’s technology solution is licensed for use in the U.S., Mexico and Costa Rica. [Built In Boston] 

Tender Food brought in $12M. Tender Food is working to offer more plant-based meat alternatives for chicken, beef and pork. Tender Food raised $12 million in a seed funding round that will be used to launch its product later this year. Tender Food plans to double its employee headcount over the next year, too. WeWork Growth Campus expanded. The WeWork Growth Campus program was originally launched in New York as a way to boost economic recovery. Because of its success, it has decided to expand into other locations including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. To apply for the program, applicants must be an early-stage startup, a nonprofit or social impact organization in one of the cities, with less than 100 employees and in the early stages of funding. Members of the program will have the option to work from 800 offices in 24 locations.
